Immaculata, Pa. - (5/5/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University joined their conference rivals at Immaculata University for the first day of the Atlantic East Conference Men's Track and Field Championships. There the Griffins were able to grab a third-place perch (3rd of 4, 11 points) thanks to a sixth-place (20.76, 1 point) Hammer throw from freshman Alex Pauling (Philadelphia, Pa.), a second-place (11:05.41, 8 points) effort in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase from junior Karam Aldarwich (Dresher, Pa.), and a fifth-place (38:07.84, 2 points) finish in the 10,000-Meter from senior Thomas Balla (Trevose, Pa.). Junior Branden Soubik (Lansdale, Pa.) was the top finisher in both the 100-Meter (1st, 11.14) and 200-Meter (1st, 22.51) preliminary runs.
